The conference provided opportunities for researchers and practitioners to share knowledge and explore solutions to current challenges in aquaponics. Gosh noted the value of engaging with diverse presentations that examined both present issues and future directions for the field.

In addition to the academic sessions, participants took part in farm tours at the University of Maryland greenhouse and Greenway Farms, LLC in Gaithersburg, Maryland. These visits offered direct exposure to aquaponics in practice, underscoring the real-world applications of the research and techniques discussed during the event.
