HortiConnect India Expo 2025 debuts with strong industry engagement in Bengaluru

The newly organised HortiConnect India Expo brought a fresh focus to India's horticulture sector, gathering nearly 25000 visitors at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre for three event-packed days between 25th to 27th September.

The expo was spearheaded by an accomplished organizing team, including industry veterans like S.K. Gutgutia (Florance Flora), Rajeeb Kumar Roy (Agriplast Tech), Shrikanth Bollapally (Vensai Floritech), Rajendra Kumar (Dutch Flora), Bhavin Thakker (Sonite Agriventures), Rownak Gutgutia (Florance Flora) and MD Rafiulla (HR Traders), each bringing decades of expertise in greenhouse operations, floriculture, trade, and sustainable agriculture to ensure the event's relevance and seamless execution. And, more importantly, they all notice the expansion of India's agricultural industry, believe protected cultivation will play a key role in this future, and want to facilitate this unitedly by organising this event.

A glocal showcase
Showcasing 127 exhibitor stalls, the expo brought together a cross-section of the open to protected cultivation, plant material suppliers, precision farming, nursery, seeding, tissue culture and post-harvest technology supply chains. The show floor was complemented by live product demonstrations, expert-led workshops and floral arrangements, and B2B networking for practical knowledge-sharing. Government officials and industry leaders convened for policy forums focused on the National Greenhouse Mission and carbon-credit frameworks, cementing the expo's national relevance. The fair also welcomed international participants from Colombia, Israel, and Taiwan, with the Netherlands as the partner country, represented by eight companies in its dedicated pavilion.

High marks from exhibitors
The event's planning and execution drew especially high marks from exhibitors, attesting the organizers' industry know-how and hands-on support— exhibitors noted that organizers helped to print visiting cards on the spot when he ran out, arranged farm visits and even made travel arrangements to the nearest metro. Stalls reported not just high visitor footfall but also genuine interest from serious growers, buyers, and investors. The rise of tech-driven agribusiness models and pan-India reach was a recurring theme. Attendees cited the diversity of conversations, practical challenges addressed, and collaborative atmosphere as highlights.

"With sessions spanning topics from substrates to drones and discussions between event management companies and flower growers, HortiConnect India Expo delivered not just technology transfer but actionable connections and market insight. Participants are already looking forward to an even larger edition in the future", the organizers concluded.

HortiConnect India Expo's next edition will be scheduled in September 2026 in Bengaluru.
