Danish robotics company 4XROBOTS has appointed Steffen Enemark as its new CEO. With more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently as Vice President at ABB Robotics, Enemark takes over leadership as the company transitions from startup to scale-up following the launch of its first collaborative robot in early 2025.
The company is entering a new phase of growth and momentum. Steffen Enemark takes on the responsibility of scaling 4XROBOTS through the coming years.

Michael Nielsen has been doing well in building 4XROBOTS to where it is today, and I'm pleased he will remain closely involved as we move froward," says Steffen Enemark.
With a new CEO to lead the company in the next stage of scaling up the business and production, former CEO and Co-Founder Michael Nielsen will shift his focus to driving production and supply chain development.
"When I took on the role of CEO of 4XROBOTS, I knew it was temporary – and so did the board. We now have a clear concept and a company ready to grow. Steffen brings the commercial experience and international outlook that we need to take the next step," says Michael Nielsen.
A catapult to growth for growers
Having followed 4XROBOTS closely for several years, Enemark sees horticulture as the natural entry point to demonstrate how collaborative robots can strengthen growth for greenhouse businesses.

Horticulture is the ideal first sector because automation here isn't just about cost saving: it's a catapult for profitability and competitiveness," says the new CEO and continues:

Proof of Concept with global potential
In horticulture, the demand is especially strong for solutions that can handle repetitive, one-sided tasks such as picking and packing, which are both labor-intensive and costly.
Steffen Enemark believes this makes automation and especially collaborative robots a key enabler for competitiveness in horticulture:
"Our technology helps growers overcome labor shortages and rising costs, while creating space for long-term development. The more routine work our collaborative robot can handle, the more room there is for growers to scale and be competitive."
With ambitions to expand into markets such as Canada, the Netherlands, the United States, and Asia, 4XROBOTS sees horticulture as the proof of concept that will demonstrate how collaborative robotics can deliver both efficiency and new growth opportunities in other sectors as well.
