Vertical farming systems company 180 Pipe is hosting an open house and technology demonstration on Oct. 14, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 800 Grant 83 in Sheridan, Ark. The event, co-hosted by Founder Luigi Campos and Eudora Mayor Tomeka Butler, invites the public, media, and Arkansas agriculture leaders to explore how communities can grow fresh, nutrient-rich food regardless of climate or available land.
Visitors will tour working vertical systems, watch live demonstrations, and learn about 180 Pipe's conduit-based architecture designed to reduce land footprint and water use while enabling consistent yields. Mayor Butler, a proponent of community-driven agriculture, is partnering with 180 Pipe to explore scalable food-access models for small towns across Arkansas.
"Food security begins with local solutions," said Mayor Butler. "When communities have tools to grow their own fresh produce, right where people live and learn, we build resilience, create opportunity, and strengthen Arkansas from the ground up."
Founder Luigi Campos added, "Our mission is to help dismantle food deserts across the state. 180 Pipe's vertical design shows how we can produce more with less—less water, less land, and less distance between farm and table."
