Windmill Farms Inc. and Forage Hyperfoods Inc. have announced a partnership through which the Heartee brand of fresh mushrooms will join Windmill Farms under a shared vision of product innovation and quality excellence.
Under the agreement, Windmill Farms will integrate the Heartee brand, grow premium specialty mushrooms at its main Port Perry farm, and continue to service fresh mushroom customers in Ontario. The Heartee brand will continue to operate in the market as "Heartee by Windmill Farms," supported by Windmill's production scale, food safety programs, and established distribution network. Forage Hyperfoods will focus on research and innovation to advance new mushroom products, including the development of shelf-stable gourmet offerings and other category-expanding formats.
