Back in 1985, Jan Vellekoop joined PDI as a service technician. At the time, the company had fewer than ten employees. Now, forty years later, PDI has grown to more than 200 team members, and Jan is still part of the family.
In his early years, Jan was a familiar face out in the field. His technical expertise and his ability to connect easily with people quickly helped him move up within the company. From service technician, he advanced to site supervisor, and later to sales representative, a role that suited him perfectly.

In 2003, Jan became a shareholder, and by 2009 he was part of the management team alongside Peter Dekker and others, a true milestone in his career. Peter describes their collaboration fondly:
"Thanks to Jan's dedication, courage, drive, persuasiveness, pursuit of perfection, and deep technical insight, PDI has become what it is today: a global leader in screen installations. His discussions often stir things up, his feedback is straightforward and honest, and he's incredibly quick to think and act. Jan always speaks his mind, and his opinion is valued, because whatever he says or does, it always comes from one goal: moving PDI forward."
Jan has literally traveled all over the world for PDI. One of his most remarkable achievements? Launching PDI's operations in North America. Without speaking a word of English, he boarded a plane to the United States and laid the groundwork for what would later become PDI's thriving business in the U.S. and Canada.
"His courage and determination still form the foundation of our international growth," his colleagues say. They proudly congratulate him on this special milestone, his 40th anniversary with PDI. "We're incredibly proud of everything you've contributed, and of the important role you continue to play in the company."
