UK: Roundtable discussion on industry held in vertical farm

Last week, PTS brought together thought leaders from across design, build, and operations to explore how automation and AI are transforming the built environment, and what it truly means when data, people, and machines begin working together.

The roundtable, held at GSK's new HQ hydroponic farm, was delivered in collaboration with Ideal and hosted by PTS Managing Director Stephen Edward, alongside Moto Shakoori, Founder and CEO of Ideal.

Architects, engineers, contractors, technologists, and operators shared open and honest perspectives on the changes shaping the industry and how the sector can collectively create a smarter, more sustainable future.

The discussion highlighted several priorities, including integrating data across design, build, and operational silos, using AI to improve decision-making, speed, and accuracy, empowering people through digital and data skills, and driving measurable sustainability and performance outcomes.

PTS expressed appreciation to all participants for contributing to such an insightful session. It is clear that the future of the industry will be driven as much by collaboration as by technology, and PTS looks forward to continuing to build on this growing community of thinkers and innovators.
