Cornell University's Center for Regional Economic Advancement (CREA) will host its annual Grow-NY Food & Ag Summit, one of the world's largest business competitions focused on food and agriculture innovation. The two-day event will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to highlight emerging technologies and ideas shaping the future of the food system.
The Summit will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., and Thursday, November 13, from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., at The Hotel Canandaigua, located at 205 Lakeshore Drive in Canandaigua, New York. The awards ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. on November 13 at The Lake House in Canandaigua. Complimentary parking will be available at both venues. The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing attendees to participate either in person or virtually.
The program will include keynote and panel discussions led by leading voices in food and agriculture, as well as interactive roundtable sessions on emerging topics such as artificial intelligence applications in farming and strategies for gaining entry into major retail markets like Whole Foods Market. A live pitch competition featuring 20 startup teams from around the world will run throughout the event.

The competition will award a total of $3 million in prize money to top startups. One finalist will receive the $1 million grand prize, two teams will each receive $500,000, and four teams will each be awarded $250,000.
The Grow-NY Summit serves as a platform for spotlighting innovation in areas including food waste reduction, sustainable agriculture, and biomass fermentation. It offers an opportunity for startups, investors, researchers, students, and members of the media to engage directly with leaders at the forefront of food and agriculture technology.
