Fredrik Forsberg, CEO of Swedish cucumber grower Agtira, has suddenly passed away.
"Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues. Fredrik was a highly appreciated leader who contributed to Agtira's development with commitment and energy. We remember him with great warmth and respect," shares chairman Ludvig Nauckhoff on behalf of the company.
Fredrik Forsberg was appointed CEO only recently, effective September 1, 2025. Former CEO Erik Jonuks was to remain during the autumn to ensure a smooth handover and to contribute to the integration process before moving on to a new position later in the year.
The Board of Directors has appointed Joakim Linneros as acting CEO. Joakim was the former CEO of Pepino, the cucumber grower acquired by Agtira in the summer, and has served as COO of Agtira ever since.
