French university students get aquaponics crash-course

BiOPONi recently completed its annual teaching session in Aquaculture and Aquaponics for the Master of Science in Urban Agriculture and Green Cities at UniLaSalle Rouen. The team values this recurring opportunity to guide students through the principles and practical realities of integrated food production.

This year, the students visited FADA Ferme Aquaponique de l'Abbaye, where Guillaume welcomed the group and opened his aquaponic farm for an in depth look at how plants and fish can thrive together. The site offered a clear, hands on view of efficient, balanced production methods.

BiOPONi also expressed its appreciation to Marie Asma Ben Othmen for her continued trust in their work. The session will conclude with a virtual visit to the Eauzons pilot farm, giving students one more window into real world systems.
