UAE: Upgrades to strawberry, hydroponic growing facilities announced in Hatta

Hatta's enhanced green spaces are adding fresh colour and fresh produce to the mountain escape, from an expanded strawberry farm to greenhouses growing leafy greens. Along with a mountainside amphitheatre overlooking the turquoise waters of the Hatta Dam, the latest upgrades give UAE residents and tourists even more reasons to head for Dubai's highlands.

These projects, delivered as part of a wider development push, introduce new experiences for visitors while strengthening essential services for the growing community.

The Strawberry Farm has expanded its outdoor cultivation areas and upgraded its greenhouse with vertical farming and hydroponic systems. Cooling efficiency has improved with new units, and a dedicated seed-nursery facility has been built to support future growth.

The Leafy Greens Farm now features three hydroponic greenhouses supported by integrated facilities, including storage areas and specialised training rooms. A direct-sale outlet is also open, giving consumers the chance to buy produce straight from the farm. At Hatta Farm, new hydroponic greenhouses have been installed alongside smart crop-management systems designed to boost efficiency and crop quality.
