New MoU aims to boost digital ag tools and precision farm management in Thailand

The Thai Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chia Tai Company Limited to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies and smart agricultural solutions among Thai farmers, with the goal of enhancing efficiency and fostering long-term sustainability in the agricultural sector. The signing ceremony took place at Chia Tai Company Limited.

Mr. Peeraphan Korthong, Director-General of the DOAE, said the MoU demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing agricultural knowledge and strengthening farmers' production capabilities in a tangible way. The initiative aligns with the policy direction of Mr. Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, which focuses on delivering high-value agricultural products and services, ensuring quality produce that meets market demand, and enhancing farmers' competitiveness.

The collaboration will empower farmers and agricultural institutions to serve as comprehensive agricultural service providers, creating opportunities to upskill and reskill in preparation for future challenges.

Bringing together expertise in crop science, innovative technology and precision farm management, the partnership is designed to improve productivity and reliability in the field.
