On December 19, Lycopersicon organized crop tour in the Roeselare region, with a focus on knowledge sharing, practical experience, and innovation. Growers had the opportunity to visit several modern cultivation sites and exchange experiences on current challenges and opportunities within the horticulture sector.
The tour started at Gabel bv, where participants were welcomed for the first greenhouse visit. The group then moved on to Tomco bv, which also featured a company and greenhouse visit. During the morning, the focus was on practical insights and comparing different cultivation strategies.

After a sandwich lunch, the group headed to Agrotopia, the innovation and research center for greenhouse horticulture in Roeselare. The visit began with an in-depth presentation by MechaTronix.
Franky Van Looveren, cultivation specialist at MechaTronix, elaborated on the transition from SON-T to LED lighting, with special attention to dynamic lighting strategies and targeted control of the light spectrum.

This was followed by a debriefing, where the gained insights, practical questions, and experiences were shared extensively. Finally, participants received a guided tour of Agrotopia, including a visit to the grow tower—a technological masterpiece utilizing the MechaTronix CoolStack Linear.
The crop tour concluded around 4:00 PM, with many positive reactions from the participants.
