Fischer Farms brings vertically farmed New Eden range to Ocado shoppers

"Our goal is to create food that is good for people, planet and palates"

Fischer Farms has launched New Eden on Ocado, marking the first commercial listing for its new consumer leaf brand.

The launch introduces three New Eden bagged salad SKUs to Ocado customers, including Burger Lettuce, Zesty Mixed Salad and Pea Shoot Salad. Each product showcases the purity, flavour and consistency made possible through indoor growing, offering vibrant, nutrient-rich leaves that elevate both everyday meals and simple snacks.

New Eden is grown at Fischer Farms' state-of-the-art farm in Norwich - one of the world's largest vertical farms - where crops are grown entirely indoors in the perfect conditions, all year round. Using advanced vertical-farming technology, every leaf receives precisely what it needs to thrive, including the ideal balance of light, nutrients and climate, without any pesticides or herbicides.

The process uses dramatically less water, requires no soil, and consumes only a fraction of the land needed for traditional agriculture. The result is a cleaner, more resource-efficient way to grow fresh food at scale, protecting our natural resources while delivering consistently pure, high-quality produce.

This controlled environment also brings clear benefits for consumers. New Eden leaves are super clean (no chemical washes and no pesticides or herbicides) thanks to their clean indoor growing process. Going from harvest to bag within just hours, the produce stays crispy and fresh for longer, helping households cut down on food waste.

Grown, picked and packed in the UK, New Eden also ensures lower food miles and maximum freshness for consumers. The range provides the quality, flavour and convenience shoppers expect, while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability.

Jon Cummings, Fischer Farms Commercial Director, said: "New Eden is about creating a better future for fresh produce - food that is good for people, planet and palates. By growing indoors in perfect conditions, we're able to offer consistent quality, clean leaves and incredible flavour, while dramatically reducing the resources needed to grow them. Launching on Ocado is an exciting step in bringing this new approach directly to consumers."
