Connecting regional agriculture to global agri-tech innovation

Agriculture across the Middle East is entering a period of renewed momentum. Strong demand for food security, increased investment in technology, and a growing commitment to sustainable production are reshaping how the region produces and manages food. From advanced crop systems and greenhouse farming to animal health and aquaculture, the Middle East is actively embracing innovation to strengthen domestic production and long-term resilience.

This momentum is clearly reflected in the market itself. Recent industry analysis shows that the regional agriculture market is valued at over US$3.4 billion today and projected to reach nearly US$4.7 billion by 2032, driven by sustained investment and technology adoption. High-growth areas such as agri-tech, smart farming, and controlled-environment agriculture are playing an increasingly central role, reinforcing the Middle East's rising importance within the global agricultural value chain.

Within this positive growth environment, Agra Middle East established itself as a platform for the region's agricultural community. For more than 17 years, it served as a meeting point where producers, technology providers, distributors, and investors connected around solutions designed specifically for Middle Eastern conditions. Its strength lay in addressing practical needs, from crop productivity and livestock health to aquaculture expansion and water-efficient irrigation, while enabling meaningful business exchange and knowledge sharing.

Today, this foundation evolves into a broader, more connected platform as Growtech. Middle East. This evolution reflects the growing need for global connectivity. By joining the internationally recognised Growtech. brand, Growtech. Middle East connects international stakeholders to a wider ecosystem of innovation, expertise, and investment while remaining firmly grounded in the realities and priorities of Middle Eastern agriculture.

The expanded Growtech. ecosystem delivers a comprehensive, 360-degree view of agricultural technology. Alongside established strengths in crop farming, animal health, and aquaculture, the platform now incorporates greenhouse technologies, precision irrigation, seed and plant breeding, plant nutrition, sustainable farming practices, and smart agriculture solutions. These are not emerging concepts, but priority growth areas actively being deployed across the Middle East and comparable arid regions worldwide.

Recent government-led initiatives further reinforce this momentum. Across the Middle East, national food security strategies, public investment programmes, and regulatory support frameworks are accelerating the adoption of modern agricultural practices. Governments are actively supporting large-scale greenhouse developments, aquaculture expansion, water-efficient irrigation systems, and digital farming pilots, creating an enabling environment for technology-driven, scalable food production aligned with long-term national priorities.

The MoU signed at Growtech. Antalya 2025 formally marked the alignment of these platforms. Collectively, the Growtech. exhibitions attract more than 40,000 agricultural professionals annually, facilitating millions of dollars in trade, partnerships, and investment. This scale enables meaningful collaboration, connecting solution providers not only with buyers, but with innovators, investors, and decision-makers shaping the future of food production.

As the company look ahead to 8–10 September 2026, when Growtech. Middle East debuts under its new identity in Dubai, the focus is clear: From Adopters to Innovators. The event is designed as a business-driven, knowledge-led platform where regional priorities meet global innovation supporting the Middle East's ambition to build resilient, sustainable, and technology-enabled food systems.
