On the 12th, about 20 officials from the central government of the Netherlands and leading horticultural companies and institutions visited an advanced smart farm built by Espi Agri in Unsan-myeon, Seosan in South Chungcheong Province. The delegation from the Netherlands, a global powerhouse in horticulture, came to see firsthand how Korea is operating smart farms based on artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
Park Dae-sung, head of Espi Agri, said, "The Dutch delegation carefully toured the smart farm and showed deep interest in our technology," adding, "I was proud that we were able to prove the competitiveness of K-smart farms."
They reportedly showed strong interest not only in the AI-based autonomous control technology adopted at Espi Agri's smart farm, but also in its harvesting robots, automated packaging line, and cold chain system.
