AeroFarms closure date arrives as company remains silent

February 27, 2026, marks the anticipated closure date outlined in AeroFarms' most recent WARN notice filed with Virginia workforce authorities.

In that filing, the company stated that if it was unable to secure a longer-term solution, its Ringgold, Virginia facility would close on February 27, resulting in the permanent termination of 127 remaining employees, including 98 Virginia residents. Sixteen primarily remote employees had already been placed on temporary furlough.

As of publication, no updated filing withdrawing or revising the February 27 date has been made public.

Vertical Farm Daily has contacted AeroFarms to confirm whether the facility is closing or remains operational. As of publication, no response has been received.
