WUR researches light energy-effiency for vertical farms

Only once the power bill drops and profits climb can large-scale vertical farming be considered. Therefore, the Netherlands-based Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is putting research into the energy-efficiency of vertical farms. 

They discovered that simply switching off the lights could save more energy. Eric Poot and Anja Dieleman with WUR elaborate on the light saving process in the video below.
