Two hydroponic barley production units to come to Western Sahara

The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, in the arid region of Western Sahara, is committed to carrying out projects allowing the emergence of an agricultural middle class and the encouragement of young investors in the agriculture sector.

Breeders of the Dakhla area will soon have two hydroponic barley production units. In detail, and as part of the implementation of the new agricultural development strategy “Green Generation” (SGG) 2020-2030, the Directorate of Agriculture of Dakhla-Oued Eddab is committed to carrying out projects allowing the emergence of the agricultural middle class and promotion of young investors in the agriculture sector.

In this context and to allow the creation and development of agricultural service companies in the Dakhla Oued-Eddahab region, two projects related to the production of hydroponic barley and watering livestock by tanker trucks have been proposed.
