DLC announces updated qualified products lists logos

The DesignLights Consortium (DLC) rolled out a set of updated logos designed for use with products approved for the DLC’s Solid-State Lighting (SSL) and Networked Lighting Controls (NLC), Horticultural Lighting and LUNA qualified products lists (QPL).

“As we continually strive to keep the DLC’s QPL experience current and easy-to-use, we are pleased to offer these updated logos for use by manufacturers whose products meet the performance thresholds of our various technical requirements,” DLC Executive Director and CEO Christina Halfpenny said. “Designed to be visually simpler and easier to differentiate and read at small sizes, the updated logos also better align with other DLC branded assets.”

The updates announced today include new DLC Listed, DLC Premium, DLC Horticultural, and DLC LUNA logos (see new logo designs here). The new logos are meant for use with all newly qualified product spec sheets and marketing materials. The DLC does not expect manufacturers to immediately update older materials but encourages updating as soon as is feasible. For the time being, old QPL logos are still valid to identify DLC qualified products and QPL users should note that they may still see the old logos used to indicate qualification.
