US: 'Designed to create larger impacts with less operating costs'

"The need for growing plants in the most efficient way is getting higher every day. With less land available to farmers and metropolitan areas the need of an efficient and sufficient sustainable system was needed. Building advanced greenhouses and supplying the appropriate technology for the climate inside really will shape the future of agriculture and growing," says Cem Guvendiren, manager of Pyramid Garden, who manages the daily operations and marketing.

Pyramid Growers originally is an aeroponics and dehumidification manufacturer for various industries. Based in LA, USA, their products are shipped worldwide. However, next to these Pyramid Gardens, the team also designs high-tech greenhouses. Additionally, IOT software, Co2 Generators, fresh air intakes, and air purifiers are supplied by the company.

Only using a small amount of water with a 5-micron misting, the dehumidification device recycles transpired water from the air and then reuses it. This process doesn't affect the temperature while dehumidification and sterilizes the air for a hundred percent.

The Pyramid Garden comes in different sizes: the company sells 48''x 48''x 48" cm or 24" x 24" x 24" cm. The larger size ones can attach to each other to create a larger system. If customers want to purchase a different size, custom designs can be made with the so-called Pyramid Wall. The various sizes cater to different types of customers.

"Our smaller planter of 36 plugs is most suited for garden growers, rooftop growers, or urban city growers. Whereas our larger planter with 136 plugs is more suited for professional and industrial growers and farmers. It makes it rather convenient to grow fruity and leafy greens in a compact, sustainable setup."

Cem adds that the systems are designed to create a large impact with less operating costs. The automation of irrigation and fertilizer and having a monitoring and management system allows it to be very efficient. "We are developing, researching, and improving our energy efficiencies every day. All our systems can have a heartbeat and can be monitored 24 hours."

The company advises customers to start small and to first get used to the system. As the system is modular, it can always increase in size according to the customer's needs. "The idea is to use the environment as efficiently as possible and reuse the energy that is created and given inside. We design a lot of industrial-size projects, where our 36-hole planter is more for education, home, and garden use. By having a smaller planter, we encourage everyone to grow their own and have it feasible."

Thus far, the Pyramid Gardens have been in high demand, which can be mostly seen in educational and custom projects.
