Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort has launched a state-of-the-art hydroponic farm.
It represents the next step in the resort’s sustainability journey, following successful initiatives such as waste diversion and water conservation. By adhering to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) principles, the farm ensures optimal conditions for plant growth, minimising the risk of contamination and maximising nutrient uptake.
The farm’s Hybrid System of Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) & Deep Water Culture (DWC) with Integrated Gravity-Driven Water Circulation provides plants with ample hydration and nourishment. Specially tailored LED lights mimic natural sunlight, promoting healthy growth and maintaining a natural day-night cycle.
“Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort has always been a paragon of sustainability within luxury hospitality,” said James Hewitson, cluster general manager for Anantara The Palm Dubai and Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort.
“Our new hydroponic farm symbolises the next step in our green journey, offering our guests unparalleled fresh, produce while further reducing our environmental impact.”
