Mycorrhizal Applications is adding AmyloShield™ to its family of biological plant health solutions.
“AmyloShield’s active ingredient is a unique, proprietary strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, PTA-4838,” said Blair Busenbark, Sales & Commercial Marketing Manager at Mycorrhizal Applications. “After vigorous testing, fermentation, and trialing, this strain has been distilled into an easily utilized foliar spray that controls a broad range of fungal pathogens.”
Created for professional use, AmyloShield’s provides effective control for a wide variety of pathogens, such as powdery mildew, botrytis, downy mildew, and more than 80 other pathogens. It is ideal for the nursery, greenhouse, landscape, and interior plantscaping industries. It can be used on a wide variety of plants, such as ornamentals, interior plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, hemp, and turf.
“Tools that help growers fight off fungal infections in the organic world often have fewer results to show compared to their conventional counterparts, but not AmyloShield,” said Busenbark, “AmyloShield is a highly effective tool for growers that also happens to be OMRI-listed rather than the other way around. In addition, it has a zero-day preharvest interval and can be applied up to and including the day of harvest. Follow label instructions and be confident that you are making a good choice for the environment, your staff, and yourself.”
AmyloShield is applied as a foliar spray, either standalone or in combination with other registered products in a rotation or as tank mixes. As a microbial product containing live spores, AmyloShield produces the best results when applied preventively. Adjuvants such as spreader-stickers can be easily incorporated to improve coverage and enhance control. AmyloShield can be applied with all commonly used foliar spray application tools.
