US: New children's book celebrates hydroponic growing

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture released I LOVE Blueberries, the newest title from its Feeding Minds Press collection. Designed to engage young readers with the world of agriculture, the book provides farm-fresh facts that bring the joys of farming to life.

I LOVE Blueberries is the sequel to the award-winning I LOVE Strawberries. In this story, Jolie and her new friend Margot team up with classmates and the community to set up a hydroponics growing station in their classroom to grow their own blueberries.

Through Jolie's comical scrapbook-style journal entries and Margot's creative sketches, the book introduces readers to the process of hydroponic farming and the nutritional benefits of blueberries. It's a way to spark curiosity in young minds about where their food comes from and the science behind growing it. The Foundation said it's an excellent tool for parents, educators, and farmers to foster a deeper understanding of agriculture.

I LOVE Blueberries is the 11th title from Feeding Minds Press, following the success of I LOVE Strawberries, which won seven awards, including the Good Housekeeping 2022 Best Kids' Book Award. Recent releases from the press include The Soil in Jackie's Garden and Potatoes for Pirate Pearl. These books are available for purchase directly from Feeding Minds Press.
