US (FL): Le Roots Urban Farm co-founder shares smart grocery strategies on Bloom

As access to fresh, clean produce becomes more important than ever, Christina Alvarez—co-founder of Le Roots Premium Urban Farm—joined Gayle Guyardo, host of the globally syndicated health and wellness show Bloom, to share practical tips for mindful grocery shopping when growing your own food isn't an option.

Christina and her husband Zack founded Le Roots with a bold mission: to create a scalable, sustainable indoor farm that produces high-quality food in a cost-effective and eco-conscious way. Based in Tampa, Le Roots is the city's first privately owned premium indoor farm. Specializing in leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens, the farm supplies some of the area's top restaurants as well as individuals who care deeply about the food they consume.

On the show, Christina explained that even when you can't grow your own, you can still shop with intention. Here are her top tips for shopping smarter and eating cleaner.

Opt for organic produce to avoid harmful pesticides and chemicals. Prioritize the "Dirty Dozen" list when making organic selections.
