New microgreens business comes to lower Bucks County

PennGrows Microgreens, founded by Mitchell and Gloria Cherny, is reimagining how microgreens can support food, wellness, and sustainability—all from a local base in Trevose, PA. With roots in agricultural engineering and a passion for health, the couple began growing microgreens in their basement and have since expanded into a full indoor vertical farming operation.

Their mission is centered on producing nutrient-dense, pesticide-free microgreens that contain significantly higher concentrations of vitamins and minerals compared to their mature counterparts. Grown using eco-conscious practices that reduce water usage and eliminate harsh chemicals, these greens support everything from immune and metabolic health to eye and heart function.

PennGrows offers more than just culinary greens. Their line includes Beardie Greens, a pet-friendly microgreen product that promotes joint health, digestion, and coat quality in animals. This innovation was inspired by their own dog, Finley, whose health improved significantly after being fed microgreens during cancer treatment.

They've also introduced Microglams, a skincare and wellness range infused with the natural power of microgreens. Products like scrubs, serums, and masks leverage antioxidants and vitamin C to brighten skin, promote collagen production, and improve overall radiance.

PennGrows invites the community to discover their wide range of fresh, locally grown products—including greens for salads, smoothies, sandwiches, and more—now available at their new storefront. Customers can choose free in-store pickup or same-day delivery through DoorDash.

Grand Opening: Friday, September 26th
