US: Auburn High School students celebrate success of first hydroponic harvest

Auburn High School students in the 12:1 Program are celebrating their first harvest in their hydroponic farming project. The students and staff grew lettuce over a one-month period, during which they learned hands-on agriculture and health skills. The Fork Farms equipment produces up to 25 pounds of fresh, nutritious lettuce, some of which will be donated to local shelters and served in the school cafeteria.
