India: Experts teach students about nuances of mushroom farming

Updating students about new startup opportunities, the experts introduced them about intricacies of mushroom farming on the third day of national workshop. It may be mentioned that a five-day national workshop on "The Art of Mushroom Entrepreneurship: Strategies for Success" is being organized from December 15, 2025, under the joint auspices of the Department of Botany, Microbiology and Agriculture, Government M.H. Home Science and Science Women's College and Women's Studies Centre, Rani Durgavati University.

Dr. Jaya Singh is the subject expert in the program being conducted under the direction of college Principal, Dr. Sameer Shukla and HoD, Botany Department, Dr. Anuradha Dave to motivate students towards self-employment and develop their skills.

During first session of the third day, the main speaker, Dr. Rupesh Kumar Chaubey, Founder and Director of Gokul Gramodyog and M.G. Mushroom Chhattisgarh, delivered a lecture via Google Meet, sharing about producing various mushroom products using agro-waste.

Speaking to students about new startup opportunities, he explained about mushroom cultivation, mushroom powder, mushroom chips and various other products. During technical session, Dr. Jaya Singh provided training on mushroom cultivation and introduced students about intricacies of mushroom farming.
