The 2026 Archuleta Food Summit is planned for Saturday, April 18. This year's summit will focus on a simulation of the Archuleta Food Hub and Food Hall, presented and sponsored by Healthy Archuleta.
Several features of the food summit include a demonstration of a year-round hydroponic growing tower, part of the thriving local food system made available to the community. The simulation invites participants to experience how local food can move from growers and producers to families, schools, small businesses and community spaces.
Participants will move through an engaging station-based experience that brings the vision of the proposed Archuleta Food Hub and Hall to life. It will also highlight the practical benefits of the food hub, which aims to strengthen the local economy by keeping food dollars circulating locally; supporting small food entrepreneurs; creating workforce development pathways; and improving access to fresh, healthy and locally grown foods. The Archuleta Food Hub and Hall is designed to be a shared space aimed at building a more resilient, sustainable local food system in Archuleta County.
The food summit will be held at Pagosa Springs High School on South 8th Street on Saturday, April 18, from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
