Malaysian agtech company completes construction of vertical farm

Agroz Group Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian agriculture technology company, today announced the successful completion of its 3,000 sq ft Indoor Vertical Farm at Sg Buloh that can produce 3 tons of vegetables every month. Agroz currently has a total of approximately 37,000 cu ft of indoor vertical farms with 3x units of Container Farms at MINES2 in Seri Kembangan and now an indoor vertical farm in a warehouse at Sg Buloh.

“Although only 37,000 cu ft, we can yield equals to 18 acres of open farmland, within the city, and grow fresh vegetables in the local community. This is the effectiveness and efficiency of Indoor Vertical Farming, producing high quality, clean, healthy, and fresh vegetables feeding the people in our neighborhood,” says Gerard Lim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Agroz Group.

Agroz is now planning to build two more indoor farms to cover all four (4) corners of Klang Valley. Agroz is currently in discussions with a major Mall owner to locate an indoor farm on the northeast side of the Klang Valley. With plans to build the large 100,000 sq ft farm in Shah Alam still-in-progress to be located at the southwest side of Klang Valley.

Delivering fresh produce to home
