Green Build Systems to collaborate with CEA consultancy firm

Green Build Systems (GBS) announces its latest venture and collaboration with GrowStack Technologies Ltd (GST) – formerly GrowStack. GST is a Yorkshire-based UK vertical farming and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) specialist design, engineering & consultancy firm.

The collaboration involved GBS acquiring a substantial shareholding in GST, indicating a step forward for GBS in its Agritech related operations and manufacture of bespoke, modular vertical farming solutions.

The GBS Modular Vertical show farm will soon be self-generating energy, resulting in a fully off-grid renewable energy solution capable of running the entire farm.

Further strides taken by GBS include adding eminent Plant Scientists to the team; its R&D work with healthcare plant specialists and localized NHS Trusts in the fields of plant-based healthcare and Phytopharmaceuticals (herbal medicinal products); and furthermore, the commencement of clinical trial programs involving freeze-drying (lyophilization) processes for foodstuffs.

GST Managing Director, Chris Nelson, was optimistic about the future prospects and synergies existing between both the companies: “The Green Build Systems team has forward-thinking ideas which we are now helping to develop whilst we can enjoy the benefits of a larger organization with secure modern facilities and R&D capabilities.”
