DLG and Women in Ag Magazine joint award recognizes the professional work of women in agriculture - Applications now open - International jury appointed - Award ceremony at EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for animal husbandry, on 13 November in Hanover, Germany
(DLG). At EuroTier, which will take place in Hanover, Germany, 12-15 November 2024, the international Women in Ag Magazine and the DLG (German Agricultural Society) will confer the international "Women in Ag Award" for the third time. The award recognizes professional women in agriculture, including agriculture, agribusiness, education, technology and research. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2024.
"The role of women in farming, agribusiness and agricultural sciences is changing worldwide. More and more women are shaping the future of agriculture either as managers of their own farms or in companies, research or in the teaching profession. More and more women are drivers of sustainable food production worldwide. More and more women are shaping the debate in agriculture as journalists, bloggers or influencers," says Freya von Czettritz, CEO, of DLG Holding. "The Women in Ag Award honors this commitment and tells the stories behind these inspiring women. At EuroTier, we want to give this topic the attention it deserves," adds von Czettritz.

What all applicants have in common is that they show an outstanding commitment to global agriculture," says Schoukens, describing the criteria of the Women in Ag Award.
Award presented by an international jury
Women from the German and international agricultural sectors can apply or be nominated until 31 July 2024. The award winners are selected by an international jury made up of representatives from agricultural practice, science, organizations, and the media. The focus is on special achievements in the development of local, national, and international agriculture. The winners will be honored at the award ceremony held at EuroTier on 13 November.
