The Ukrainian Veterans Foundation provides grants of up to 1 million UAH to entrepreneurs who are combatants, in particular for the development of farms and the purchase of agricultural equipment. Grant expert Oleksandr Babin drew attention to this opportunity during a webinar of the All-Ukrainian Farmers' Congress, emphasizing that the program opens four to five times a year and the application window lasts only two to three weeks.
The program is available for veterans who already have their own business, as well as for those who are only planning to start one. A mandatory requirement for participation is the presence of a project team with resumes of all involved experts. Without this, it is practically impossible to receive a positive decision.
The grant can be used to purchase modular structures for processing products, including mini-factories and trailers for craft production — this is one of the few tools that cover such expenses. Also, with the funds from the foundation, equipment can be purchased for the farm.
For farmers with a veteran in the family, Oleksandr Babin advised considering a partnership option for a joint application — this could provide access to funding that is not available through other programs. The dates for submitting applications can be found on the official website of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation.
