Partners of the Fieldlab Vertical Farming in the Netherlands will come together at World Horti Center for an event focused on translating research into commercial practice. Under the title Vertical Farming: From Research to Business, companies, researchers, and government representatives will share insights and results from the Fieldlab, and explore opportunities for new collaborations.
The Fieldlab Vertical Farming is a collaborative initiative in which Dutch companies, research institutions, and educational organizations develop, test, and optimize crop production and marketing within vertical farming environments. Partners include Delphy Improvement Center, Greenport West-Holland, Growy, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Logiqs, Own Greens, Signify, Vertify, and Wageningen University & Research.
The event will feature presentations on crop research trials, including work on freesia and grass, as well as sessions on business opportunities in indoor farming. World Horti Center will present its new iGrow pavilion. The program will close with a visit to Vertify's vertical farming unit.
The event is aimed at growers, technology companies, researchers, students, and policymakers. The program runs from 13:00 to 16:00, with registration from 12:30. Following the event, participants are invited to attend the Let's Connect networking reception organized by World Horti Center, HortiHeroes, AVAG, Dutch Greenhouse Delta, and InnovationQuarter, which will include a presentation by LG Flowers.
