Course on good agricultural practices for producing hydroponic fruit and vegetables

The Ohio State University, in partnership with CropKing is, offering a virtual hydroponic GAP training on April 20, 2021, from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM EST. GAPS (good agricultural practices) are a series of voluntary management guidelines that can help to reduce the risks of microbial contamination of fruits and vegetables. GAPs can be incorporated into any production system and targets pre-harvest and post-harvest practices and address four major routes of foodborne pathogen contamination of fresh produce including water, waste, wildlife, and workers. 

The training will be presented by Sanja Ilic, PhD and Melanie Lewis Ivey PhD of The Ohio State University, and participants will receive training materials and a certificate of completion.
