Vertical farm wins Italian tech award

Luca Travaglini, co-founder and co-CEO of the vertical farm Planet Farms, is the Italian Tech Person of the Year. This award celebrates the person who has used technology in the best way to realize dreams and create a positive impact on society in 2021.

The award was presented at the end of the event organized by the association 2031, in collaboration with Italian Tech, the hub of the GEDI group, dedicated to the themes of technology, future, and innovation. The director of Italian Tech, Riccardo Luna, together with Cristiano Seganfreddo, president of 2031, and Eleonora Chioda, director of Millionaire, presented the evening that took place at the Triennale di Milano. Maurizio Molinari, director of Repubblica, also participated: "We are in front of the highest concentration per square meter of innovation in the world," said Seganfreddo. "Startuppers, investors, journalists: an audience that represents Italy because Italy is a startup nation."
