Ortalba is a young Italian company specializing in the sale of fruit and vegetables in Italy and around the world. The main suppliers are small to medium-sized production companies, in order to have sales opportunities to customers with affordable prices and excellent quality.
The need to align with the needs of the market has prompted the sales manager, Vittorio Grasso, to open a new business channel: air freight shipments of berries and organic fruit and vegetables, to destinations in the Middle East, Far East, Africa. Much of the service is carried out through the main collaboration with DHL global forwarding, with departure bases in Milan Malpensa, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid.
Vittorio Grasso explains the business model: "Markets far from Europe are increasingly looking for continuity in the supply of innovative products such as berries and organic fruit / vegetables. Consumers from the Middle East, Far East and Africa are becoming increasingly demanding and aligned with European models. Berries such as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries (organic and conventional) and organic fruit and vegetables are the products that have the greatest capacity for growth in consumption."
"Our suppliers are for berries located all over the world, while for organic fruit and vegetables they are in Italy and Spain. All certified Bio or Globalgap and above all carefully selected. We are always on the lookout for Italian excellences, which are increasingly finding the right recognition abroad.
