What happens in Vegas… vertical farming-style

Indoor Ag-Con back and bigger than ever

“There’s nothing like an in-person event to truly get a feel for where your industry is heading. We’re all hearing about the challenges, but a live event gives you the chance to really talk to one another, face-to-face, to share your challenges and ideas and get a strong understanding of what’s happening and where the industry is heading,” says Suzanne Pruitt, Event Director for Indoor Ag-Con.

Indoor Ag-Con will be hosting its 10th Anniversary Edition of the top industry conference on February 27 and 28th at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas. The event’s exposition floor roster has reportedly doubled in the last year and will see 135 exhibitors featured in 174 booths. On the educational front, Indoor Ag-Con has 80+ leading experts presenting across 24 programs that include panel discussions, fireside chats, and a new debate format, to name a few. Some of the keynote speakers include:

  • Arama Kukutai, CEO of Plenty
  • David Chen, CEO of Equilibrium
  • Vonnie Estes, VP of Technology at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA)

Also, Agritecture will host a pre-event workshop entitled “Planning Your Urban Commercial Farming Business,” on Sunday, February 26, to provide participants with a clear understanding of how to think strategically and avoid mistakes when it comes to planning your urban farming business.

Indoor Ag-Con attendees will also have access to the National Grocers Association (NGA) Show, the leading tradeshow and conference for independent grocers which will co-located with Indoor Ag-Con. As Suzanne explains, “the Indoor Ag-Con pass grants visitors to the NGA floor for a chance to network and explore the grocery business.”

What makes Indoor Ag-Con 2023 shine?
Thanks to the attendance and exhibitor growth over the past two years, Indoor Ag-Con is the largest vertical farming/CEA show in the United States. Every year, event organizers gather feedback from attendees to make the next edition even better. Now at its 10th edition, Indoor Ag-Con promises to deliver “unrivaled education, a versatile vendor selection, and quality networking and hospitality – all in the shortest amount of time and at the most reasonable price.

In 2022, Indoor Ag-Con welcomed more than 800 growers, suppliers, and industry members from across the US and from 20+ countries. With 300 visitors from the NGA show, the total attendance was 1100+. So far, the numbers for 2023 are tracking ahead of 2022, with attendees expected from at least 26 countries.

Indoor Ag-Con 2023’s core panels are divided among three core tracks: Grower, Funding & Guidance, and Trends & Innovation. The newly added debates will touch on topics such as Vertical Farming vs. Greenhouses, Pre-Built vs. Custom Design, and Large-Scale Container Farming vs. Vertical Farming. Bottom-line, there will be no shortage of sessions and networking opportunities for all attendees.

On the networking side, attendees can take advantage of the Cocktail Reception on Day One, lunch and session breaks, nearby restaurants, and the networking feature on the show’s mobile app to meet and have meaningful interactions with other attendees.

Ahead of the event, Indoor Ag-Con would like to thank all contributors to the event, with a special shout-out to Suzanne Pruitt (Event Director), Brian Sullivan (CEO), Nancy Hallberg, Kris Sieradzki (Event Co-Owners), Dawn Jeffrey (Senior Marketing Strategist), Dave Gilfoyle (Sales Manager), Terry Janssen (Event Support), Kyle Barnett (Director of Panel Development) and Jim Pantaleo (Event MC).
