The Japan Plant Factory Association (JPFA) is receiving applications for the 159th workshop in English, "Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Risk Assessment of Plant Factories" scheduled for Mar. 18. The program comprises two lectures and a question-and-answer session.
Program
Dr. Michael Martin, Senior Researcher, IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute / KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) will talk about environmental sustainability assessment in plant facilities and the latest trends in plant facilities in Northern Europe.
Mr. Nagateru Nozawa from MIRAI Co., Ltd. (Japan) will give a lecture based on his company's experience titled "Plant Factory Growing Even After 10 Years of Operation." The key points are stable factory operation by focusing on risk management and the launch of new products considering the market.
Then, a Q&A session will take place with the above two speakers and Dr. Eri Hayashi, the president of the JPFA and a coordinator of this workshop. All participants can view the recorded video, which will not contain the Q&A session, later during a specified period.
The workshop is free for JPFA members, and for non-members the costs are JPY5,000 each.
